  • 6 Large eggs
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking pwdr
  • 1 c. wheat germ
  • 1 c. finely rolled nuts
  • 1 1/2 c. heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
  • Powdered sugar
  • 3 tbsp. sugar

Directions

    Line jelly roll pan (15x10x1 inch) with waxed paper.

    Separate Large eggs into 2 large mixing bowls.

    Beat egg whites till stiff.

    Beat egg yolks with same beater till thick gradually adding sugar.

    Mix in combined baking pwdr, wheat germ and nuts, then fold into beaten egg whites.

    Spread into jelly roll pan.

    Bake at 350 degrees for 20 min.

    Remove from oven and cover with dampened cloth.

    Refrigeratein refrigerator.

    Turn cake out onto the cloth.

    Remove wax paper.

    Beat cream-gradually add in 3 Tbsp.

    sugar then vanilla and beat till stiff.

    Spread on cake and roll gently.

    Refrigeratein refrigerator or possibly freezer till serving time.

    Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
