- 3 1/2 c. flour
- 1 cake yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 1/4 c. orange juice
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c. Crisco, softened
- melted oleo or butter
- 4 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. grated orange rind
Directions

1Sift and measure flour.

2Crumble yeast in water.

3Add the juice, 1/4 cup sugar, salt and well beaten egg.

4Then, add flour all at once and mix thoroughly.

5Add softened Crisco and mix well. Let rise until double in bulk.

6Punch down and roll out as for biscuits.

7Spread with oleo or butter, 4 tablespoons sugar and orange rind.

8Roll up as for cinnamon rolls and cut into small rolls about 1-inch thick.

9Let rise until double and bake in hot oven at 375° for 15 to 20 minutes or until rolls are a delicate brown and spring back when tested.
