Delicious Oyster Rice

Ingredients
- 200 grams Oysters
- 3 tbsp Sake
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce
- 360 ml Uncooked white rice
- 1 thumb-sized Ginger (julienned)
- 1 Green onion (finely chopped)
- 1 Water
- 1 tsp Japanese dashi granules
- 1 tbsp Sake
- 2 tsp Mirin
- 1 tsp Soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp Salt
Directions

1Lightly wash the rice and place into the rice cooker bowl.

2Julienne the ginger and finely chop the green onion.

3Wash the oysters well in salted water.

4Drain.

5Place the ingredients into a pot and bring to a boil.

6Add the oysters and half of the ginger.

7When it comes to a boil again, turn the heat to medium and simmer for 3 minutes (until the oysters plump up).

8Separate the liquid from the oysters.

9The ginger will be cooked together with the rice.

10Add the liquid from Step 4 into the rice cooker bowl from Step 1.

11Add the Japanese dashi granules and the ingredients and combine.

12Fill with water until it reaches the 2 cup line, and then cook.

13Once it has cooked, add the oysters and the rest of the ginger.

14Let steam for 10 minutes.

15Serve in a dish and garnish with the green onion.

16Basic Dashi Stock.

17This takes some time to make but using real dashi stock makes the rice taste even better.
