- 1 large acorn squash
- 14 lb ground pork
- 1 large apple, peeled, cored, and chopped
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 14 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 14 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 12 teaspoon salt
- to taste butter
Directions

1Cut squash in half, and remove seeds.

2Cook, covered, in boiling water for 10 minutes.

3Scoop pulp from shells.

4Cook pork until brown; stir in apple and pulp.

5cook over medium heat for 10 minutes, stirring often.

6Add sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, and slat; mix w ell.

7Spoon into squash shells; dot with butter.

8Place shells in a shallow pan; bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
