- 3 c. sugar
- 1 c. light corn syrup
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 lb. raw peanuts
- 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Directions

1Combine sugar, corn syrup and water in a Dutch oven; cook over low heat to soft-crack stage (270°).

2Stir in peanuts; cook to hard-crack stage (300°).

3Remove from heat.

4Stir in butter, soda, salt and vanilla.

5Pour into 2 warm buttered 15 x 10 x 1-inch jelly roll pans and spread to edges of pan.

6Cool and break into pieces. Yield:
