Ingredients
- 1 qt. milk
- 1 c. shortening
- 3 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 3/4 c. water (warm)
- 3 tsp. salt
- 10 1/2 c. flour
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. baking powder and 1 tsp. salt (omit if using self-rising flour)
Directions

1Mix yeast liquid and shortening to warmed milk.

2Add sugar and 5 cups flour or enough to make dough the consistency of pancake batter.

3Cover; let rise for 2 hours or double in bulk.

4Add baking powder, soda, salt and flour until dough is consistency of regular dough.

5Roll and cut biscuits.

6Place on greased pans and put in freezer.

7After frozen, store in plastic bags.

8Take out what you want.

9Let thaw and bake as usual.
