  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. Crisco
  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 1/4 c. warm water
  • 10 c. flour
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/4 c. water

    Mix sugar and Crisco together and add to milk; cool.

    Let rise 1 hour. Mix baking powder

    salt and sprinkle over bread mixture. Dissolve soda in 1/4
