- 13 cup water
- 23 cup sugar
- 3 bunches fresh mint leaves
- 1 (750 ml) bottlesouthern whiskey
Directions

1Boil water and sugar together with two bunches of torn mint leaves in large pot until sugar dissolves completely.

2Cool.

3Strain sugar syrup to remove mint leaves.

4Combine cooled sugar syrup and bottle of whiskey.

5Stuff remaining mint leaves into empty whiskey bottle and refill bottle with whiskey and syrup mixture.

6Cap and put in freezer over night.

7It will freeze to a slushy consistency for serving.

8Serve in chilled silver julep cups or other chilled glasses straight from frozen bottle and garnish each glass with mint sprig.
