Ingredients
- 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 c. flour
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1 c. milk
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/4 c. margarine
Directions

1In large bowl, mix 1 1/2 cups flour, sugar, salt and yeast. Combine milk, water and margarine in small saucepan.

2Heat over low heat until very warm (120° to 130°).

3Margarine does not need to melt.

4Slowly add to dry ingredients; beat 2 minutes at medium speed.

5Add 1/2 cup flour.

6Beat at high speed 2 minutes.

7Stir in enough flour to make a soft dough.

8Turn out onto lightly floured board; knead 5 minutes.

9Place in greased bowl.

10Cover; place in pan of water about 98°.

11Let rise 15 minutes.

12Turn dough out on floured board.

13Divide in half.

14Roll each half into 12 x 9-inch rectangle.

15Cut into 12 strips.

16Hold on end of strip (about 1-inch wide) and wind around to form coil.

17Tuck end under.

18Place on greased baking sheet.

19Cover; let rise 15 minutes.

20Bake at 425° about 12 minutes.
