  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. milk
  • 2 c. flour (self-rising)
  • 3 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 1/4 c. cocoa
  • 2 c. boiling water

Directions

    Mix the butter, 1 1/2 cups sugar, milk, flour, cocoa and vanilla in a large bowl.

    Sprinkle 1 cup brown sugar, 1 cup white sugar and cocoa, mixed together, over batter, then pour the boiling water over cake and bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.
