Deviled Crabs

Ingredients

  • 1 c. soft bread crumbs (about 2 slices bread)
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • 2 c. flaked fresh crab meat
  • 1/4 c. margarine or butter (1/2 stick), melted
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 green onion (with top), chopped

    Heat oven to 400°.

    Grease six 6 ounce ramekins (or you can use 6 large crab shells).

    Mix bread crumbs and milk in a large bowl. Mix in remaining ingredients gently.

    Spoon into shells.

    Place shells in jelly roll pan, 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1-inch.

    Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until light brown.
