Deviled Scallops

- 2 lb. scallops, halved
- 1/4 c. boiling water
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. mustard
- dash of cayenne pepper
- 1/2 c. milk
- 2 c. fresh bread crumbs with 2 Tbsp. melted margarine
Directions

1Heat oven to 350°.

2Boil scallops in water 3 minutes; drain. In saucepan, combine butter, flour, mustard, salt and pepper. Slowly stir in milk; cook over low heat just until thickened.

3Add scallops.

4Turn into 10 x 6 x 2-inch baking dish.

5Top with combined crumbs and butter.

6Bake 20 to 25 minutes.

7Serves 5 or 6.
