  • 16 large prunes, pitted
  • 1 cup dry red wine
  • 2 ounces mango chutney
  • 16 slices lean streaky bacon
  • colman's prepared English mustard

Directions

    Combine prunes and wine in a bowl and allow to soak at least 4 hours.

    Preheat oven broiler.

    Drain prunes and stuff each with equal amountsof the chutney.
  4. 4
    Wrap each prune with bacon and secure with toothpicks which have been soaked in water.

    Brush each with a light coat of mustard.

    Arrange on a slotted broiler pan and broil 5 inched from heat till bacon is crispy, about 10 minutes, turning once.

    Drain briefly on paper towels.
