  • 4 to 5 c. fresh dewberries
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • sugar substitute to equal 1/2 c.
  • juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • dash of nutmeg
  • 1 Tbsp. Shedd's Spread margarine
  • 2 unbaked pie crusts

Directions

    Spread berries evenly in pie shell.

    Mix sugar and cornstarch and sprinkle over berries.

    Add lemon juice and nutmeg.

    Cover with top crust.

    Bake in 425° oven for 15 minutes.

    Reduce to 350° and continue baking 45 minutes.
