- 2/3 c. boiling water
- 1 c. molasses
- 2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp. ginger
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. cloves
- 1/4 tsp. salt
Directions

1Preheat oven to 325° in large bowl.

2Beat egg with Sweet 'N Low.

3Melt margarine in boiling water.

4Add to egg mixture.

5Stir in molasses.

6Sift dry ingredients together; add to egg mixture and beat until smooth.

7Pour into nonstick 9-inch square baking pan.

8Bake 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
