Ingredients

  • 6 eggs
  • 2 c. granulated sugar
  • 3/4 c. oil
  • 6 tsp. baking powder
  • grated peel from half a lemon
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • grated peel from half an orange
  • 1 lb. ground roasted peanuts
  • 5 - 6 c. flour

Directions

    In a large pan, with a wooden spoon, beat eggs all together, then add sugar, lemon and orange peel and oil. Set aside.

    In another bowl, put all the dry ingredients and then add to egg mixture.

    Knead into a soft dough, adding more flour if necessary. Roll out into a thin log and flatten with your hand, cut into angles like a diamond shape.

    Put on greased tins.

    Bake at 350-375° for 18 - 20 minutes to a light golden color.

    Cool and frost.

    Can also add sprinkles on top.
