- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. low-fat cottage cheese
Directions

1Squeeze cottage cheese dry in a piece of cheesecloth.

2Press through a sieve.

3Cut shortening into flour and salt until it looks like meal.

4Add cottage cheese and mix well with a fork until it forms a ball of dough.

5Roll out on a lightly floured surface.

6Bake in 8 or 9-inch pie pan.

7For a cream pie, bake shell at 400° for about 20 minutes.
