  • 1/4 c. (1 medium) egg
  • non-nutritive sweetener equivalent to 1 c. sugar
  • 3/4 tsp. allspice
  • 3/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 3/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. ginger
  • 1 (9-inch) pastry shell (unbaked)
  • 1/4 tsp. cloves, finely grated
  • 1 1/2 c. canned pumpkin
  • 3/4 c. evaporated milk
  • 3/4 c. fresh orange juice

    Preheat oven to 425°.

    Combine egg, sweetener, spices and pumpkin and blend well.

    Add milk and orange juice gradually; stir until well blended.

    Pour into unbaked pie shell.

    Bake 10 to 12 minutes then reduce heat to 325° and bake until a knife inserted near center comes out clean, about 3/4 hour.
