- 1 pkg. active dry yeast or 1 cake compressed yeast
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 1 c. cream-style cottage cheese
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. instant minced onions
- 2 tsp. dill weed
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1 egg
- 2 1/3 c. flour
- butter
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water in a large bowl.

2Heat cheese to warm.

3Stir into yeast mixture.

4Stir in rest of ingredients except flour and butter.

5Mix well.

6Beat in flour gradually until completely blended.

7Beat vigorously about 20 strokes.

8(Dough will be sticky and heavy.) Cover; let rise until doubled in bulk. Stir down dough.

9Spoon into 6-cup baking bowl.

10Cover and let rise 45 minutes.

11Bake in moderate oven (350°) for about 50 minutes.
