- 2 c. flour, sifted
- 1 Tbsp. double-acting baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2/3 c. milk
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/2 tsp. dried dill seed
Directions

1Sift flour with baking powder and salt.

2Blend in shortening until mixture resembles coarse meal.

3Add milk and dill.

4Stir until a soft dough is formed.

5Knead gently on a floured board for 30 seconds.

6Roll or pat dough 1/2-inch thick.

7Cut into 12 biscuits.

8Bake on cookie sheet in a hot 425° oven for 15 minutes.
