  • 5 c. water
  • 1/2 c. vinegar
  • 3 to 4 small onions
  • 3 to 4 hot red peppers
  • 1/2 tsp. alum to each jar
  • 1/4 c. salt
  • grapes and grape leaves
  • 1 clove garlic
  • dill

Directions

    Bring water, sugar and vinegar to a boil.

    Stuff jars with cucumbers, onions, grapes and grape leaves, peppers, garlic and dill.

    Pour brine in jars.

    Seal jars and put in hot water bath for 15 minutes.
