- 1 qt. cider vinegar
- 3 qt. water
- 3/4 c. salt
- 3 tsp. dill seed in each jar
- 1 garlic clove in each jar
- 3 pinches alum in vinegar
Directions

1In a pan, cook the vinegar, water and salt to a rolling boil. Put pickles in jar.

2Pour solution over pickles.

3Add dill seed, garlic gloves and alum to each jar.

4Put seals and rings on jars. Place in boiling water bath; process for 5 minutes.

5Ready to eat in 6 weeks.

6Allows time for ingredients to mix well.

7Makes 6 quarts.
