- 2 lb. green beans
- 2 heads fresh dill, trim off stems or 1/2 tsp. dry seeds (dill)
- 1 tsp. cayenne pepper or dry red chilies
- 4 cloves garlic (medium to large)
- 2 1/2 c. water
- 2 1/2 c. white distilled vinegar
- 1/4 c. salt
Directions

1Pack beans lengthwise into hot, sterile pint jars (wide-mouth), leaving 1/4-inch headspace.

2To each pint, add 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper or dry red chilies, 1 clove garlic and head of fresh dill or 1/2 teaspoon dill seed.

3Combine remaining ingredients and bring to boiling.

4Pour over beans, leaving 1/4-inch headspace.

5Adjust caps tight.

6Process pints for 10 minutes in boiling water bath.

7Yields about 4 pints.
