  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1/4 c. warm water
  • 1 c. creamed cottage cheese, lukewarm
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. instant minced onion
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 tsp. dill seed
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. soda
  • 1 unbeaten egg
  • 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 c. flour

Directions

    Soften yeast in water; combine in bowl cottage cheese, sugar, onion, butter, dill seed, salt, soda, egg and softened yeast.

    Add flour to form stiff dough, beating after each addition.

    Cover; let rise until doubled, about 1 hour.

    Stir down; put into well-greased 8-inch round casserole (1 1/2 to 2-quarts).

    Let rise until light, 30 to 40 minutes.

    Brush with butter and sprinkle with salt.
