Ingredients
- 1 pkg. dried yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 2 c. creamed cottage cheese
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. minced onion
- 5 to 6 c. flour
- 2 Tbsp. melted oleo
- 4 tsp. dill seed
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 2 unbeaten eggs (room temperature)
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water; stir until dissolved.

2Heat cottage cheese to lukewarm.

3In large mixing bowl, combine cottage cheese, sugar, minced onion, melted oleo, dill seed, salt, soda and eggs.

4Blend well.

5Add yeast mixture.

6Gradually add 5 cups flour and mix well.

7Knead on floured surface until smooth and no longer sticky.

8Place in greased bowl, turning to grease all sides.

9Cover bowl with plastic wrap.

10Let rise until doubled in size, approximately 1 hour.

11Punch down.

12Divide into 3 portions; form into loaves.

13Place in 3 greased 8 x 4-inch loaf pans.

14Cover with a towel and let rise again until tops of loaves are even or slightly above edge of pans.

15Bake at 350° for approximately 35 to 40 minutes.

16Brush with melted oleo.

17This bread is excellent toasted.
