Dilly Green Beans

  • 3 c. vinegar
  • 3 c. water
  • 1/2 c. salt
  • 1 peck green beans
  • spray of dill or 1/2 tsp. dill seed
  • garlic

Directions

    Wash one peck of green beans.

    String, but do not break.

    Cook beans 15 minutes in clear water.

    Pack in pint jars.
  5. 5
    Place a spray of dill in each jar (you may substitute 1/2 teaspoon dill seed) and a clove of garlic in bottom of each jar and pack tightly with beans.

    Bring vinegar, water and salt to a boil; pour over beans.

    Seal jars.
