- 3/4 c. milk
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 1/4 tsp. salt
- 4 1/2 Tbsp. margarine
- 3/4 c. warm water (not hot)
- 1 pkg. active dry yeast
- 4 1/2 c. flour
Directions

1Scald milk.

2Stir in sugar, salt and margarine; cool to lukewarm.

3In a small bowl, sprinkle yeast over water.

4Stir until dissolved.

5Stir yeast mixture into lukewarm milk mixture.

6Add 2 1/4 cups flour.

7Beat until smooth.

8Stir in remaining flour. Turn out on lightly floured board.

9Knead until smooth and elastic.

10Place in greased bowl; brush with margarine.

11Cover and let rise in warm place about 1 hour.

12Punch down and turn out on lightly floured board.
