- 2 pkg. active dry yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water (105~ to 115~)
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. warm milk (105~ to 115~)
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine, softened, plus extra for brushing rolls
- 5 to 5 1/2 c. flour
- 2 eggs
- oil (for greasing)
Directions

1In large bowl or bowl of electric mixer, sprinkle yeast over the water.

2Add 1 tablespoon of the sugar.

3Let stand about 5 minutes, until yeast is soft.

4Add remaining sugar, milk, salt and softened butter.

5Mix in 2 1/2 cups of the flour; beat until smooth and elastic (about 5 minutes).

6Beat in eggs, one a a time. Stir in about 2 more cups of flour to make a soft dough.
