Ingredients

  • 1 c. Crisco
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 2 well beaten eggs
  • 2 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 1 c. warm water
  • 6 c. unsifted all-purpose flour

Directions

    Put Crisco, sugar and salt in bowl; add boiling water and mix. Let cool; add eggs.

    Add flour alternately with yeast mixture. Let stand in refrigerator 4 hours or overnight, if desired.

    Take out amount needed, roll out and cut in desired shapes.

    Brush with melted butter.

    Place on greased baking sheet and let rise 1 hour or longer.

    Bake at 350° for about 20 minutes or until brown. Can be frozen before or after baking.
