- 1 lb. wieners
- 1/2 c. self-rising cornmeal
- 1/2 c. self-rising flour
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1/4 c. milk
Directions

1Put hot dogs in boiling water, and let stand for 5 minutes. Drain and wipe dry.

2The hot dogs must stand in the water to get rid of the grease.

3Mix dry ingredients in a shallow bowl, and then add the eggs and milk.

4Mix well with a fork.

5Heat cooking oil to deep fry (about 360°).

6Coat each hot dog with the batter and fry until brown on all edges.

7The batter will cling well to the hot dogs.
