Directions

   Mix sugar, syrup and water.

   Cook until it forms a soft ball in cold water. Pour half of this over well beaten egg whites, beating constantly.

   Cook remainder of syrup for 1 to 2 minutes. Pour the rest over egg whites.

   Beat until cool.

   Add nuts and beat until you spoon it out on wax paper. Makes about 24.
