- 2 2/3 c. sugar
- 2/3 c. light Karo syrup
- 1/2 c. water
- 2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2/3 c. broken nuts
Directions

1Mix sugar, corn syrup and water in saucepan. Stir over low heat until sugar is dissolved, then cook, without stirring, to 250°.

2Remove from heat and pour, beating constantly, in a fine stream, into the beaten egg whites. Add vanilla and continue beating until mixture holds its shape and becomes slightly dull. Fold in nuts. Spread quickly onto waxed paper or a buttered pan. Cut into squares when firm.
