- 3 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. white Karo syrup
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. toasted pecans, broken
- 1 c. water
- 1/2 stick margarine
- 2 egg whites
Directions

1Toast pecans using margarine.

2Break and let cool.

3In a boiler, mix sugar, Karo and water.

4Boil until syrup forms a ball when dropped in water that feels like chewing gum.

5While syrup is boiling, beat egg whites until stiff.

6Add vanilla and pecans. Beat until mixture is stiff enough to hold up when dropped.

7Drop on waxed paper.

8When hard, store in tin.
