- 1/2 c. water
- 2 egg whites
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3/4 c. walnuts or pecans
Directions

1Mix sugar, syrup and water.

2Boil until crackle stage when dropped in cold water (about 10 minutes).

3Meanwhile, beat egg whites until stiff.

4When syrup is cooked, set off burner until it quits bubbling.

5Pour gradually into egg whites.

6Add vanilla and beat until it holds its shape.

7Add nuts.
