Ingredients

  • 3 c. sugar
  • 2/3 c. water
  • 1/2 c. white syrup
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 egg whites, beaten stiff but not dry
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Cook the first 4 ingredients until hard ball stage, 250° on thermometer.

    Slowly pour onto the stiffly beaten egg whites.

    Keep beating until set and add the vanilla.
  4. 4
    Spoon onto waxed paper to make individual pieces of candy.
