- 1/2 c. light corn syrup
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 large egg whites
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. nuts
Directions

1Mix together sugar, syrup, water and salt.

2Over medium heat, stirring constantly, bring to a boil.

3Boil gently without stirring to 265° on candy thermometer (or hard ball stage).

4Beat egg whites until soft peaks form.

5Add vanilla, beating constantly.

7a fine stream over egg whites. Continue beating until mixture begins to lose its gloss.
