  • 3 c. granulated sugar
  • 2/3 c. water
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1/2 c. light corn syrup
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    In a 3-quart bowl, cook sugar, syrup and water on High for 12 to 13 minutes (until it spins a fine thread).

    Add salt to egg whites and beat on High until stiff.

    Slowly pour syrup mixture in a thin stream into egg whites, beating constantly, until mixture loses its shine and thickens.

    Stir in vanilla and nuts. Drop by teaspoons at once on waxed paper.
