- 1 c. hot mashed potatoes
- 1 c. potato water
- 1 c. cold water
- 1 scant c. lard, melted
- 1 cake yeast
- 1 scant c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- flour to make a stiff dough
Directions

1Mix potatoes, potato water, cold water, lard, yeast and sugar. Let stand for 2 hours.

2Beat egg and salt together and add to mixture.

3Add enough flour to make a stiff dough.

4Grease well on top and put in a cool place.

5Make out 2 or 3 hours before baking. The dough will keep several days if kept in a cool place, but don't let freeze.

6Keep well greased on top.
