  • 1 pint chopped sweet red pepper
  • 1 pint chopped sweet green pepper
  • 1 qt. chopped cabbage
  • 1 pint chopped onions
  • 2 hot peppers
  • 5 Tbsp. salt
  • 4 Tbsp. mustard seed
  • 2 Tbsp. celery seed
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 qt. vinegar

Directions

    Mix vegetables together; cover with salt and let stand overnight.

    Drain, then add spices, sugar and vinegar.

    Pack into sterilized pint jars to within 1/2 inch of top.

    Put on cap, screw band tight.

    Process in boiling water for 10 minutes.

    Yields 5 pints.
