  • 5 to 6 qt. popcorn (20 c.)
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 lb. margarine
  • 1/2 c. corn syrup
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt

Directions

    Boil the first 4 ingredients together for 5 minutes; remove from stove.

    Add the vanilla, baking soda and salt.

    This will foam up.

    Blend and pour over the popcorn.

    Put the popcorn in a roasting pan; pour liquid over the popcorn.

    Place in a 250° oven; cook for 15 minutes.

    Stir every 3 to 5 minutes.
