- 6 c. peeled, sliced baking apples (2 lb.)
- 2/3 c. unsweetened apple juice concentrate
- 2 (9-inch) pastry shells
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. plain flour
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Directions

1Preheat oven to 425°.

2Place sliced apples in large bowl. Sprinkle flour over apples and stir until coated.

3In saucepan, combine apple juice concentrate, cornstarch, cinnamon and nutmeg. Stir until smooth.

4Place over medium heat and stir constantly until thickened.

5Pour juice mixture over apples and mix.

6Spoon apples into pie crust.

7Place second crust on top, seal edges. Cut slits in top to vent.

8Bake 10 minutes at 425°, then lower heat to 375° and bake 35 to 40 minutes.
