- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 14 teaspoon ground red pepper
- 18 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup finely shredded cheddar cheese (4 ounces)
- 14 cup butter
- 3 -5 tablespoons cold water
- 1 beaten egg
- 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
Directions

1In a large mixing bowl combine flour, red pepper, and salt.

2Using a pastry blender, cut in cheddar cheese and butter until pieces are the size of small peas.

3Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of the water over part of the mixture.

4Gently toss with a fork and push to side of bowl.

5Repeat until all of the flour mixture is moistened.

6Shape dough into a ball.

7On a lightly floured surface flatten dough with your hands.

8Roll out dough from center to edges forming a 10-inch square.

9Brush with egg; sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

10Cut dough into 5x1/2-inch strips.

11Place the strips 1/2 inch apart on a lightly greased baking sheet.

12Bake in a 400 degree F oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
