- 12 oz. (2 c.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. Quaker oats (quick or old fashioned; uncooked)
- 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. powdered sugar
Directions

1Heat oven to 350°.

2In heavy saucepan over low heat, melt 1 cup chocolate chips (I use the microwave).

3Stir until smooth. Cool slightly.

4Beat together margarine and sugar until light and fluffy.

5Blend in eggs, vanilla and melted chocolate.

6Add combined dry ingredients, except powdered sugar.

7Stir in remaining chocolate pieces.
