  • 1 c. yellow cornmeal
  • 1 c. flour
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/4 c. shortening
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 can whole kernel corn, well drained

    Blend all ingredients except corn.

    Beat vigorously one minute.
