- 1 1/2 c. sifted flour
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. creamy peanut butter
- 1/4 c. light corn syrup
- 1 Tbsp. milk
Directions

1Combine flour, sugar, soda and salt.

2Cut in shortening and peanut butter until mixture resembles coarse meal.

3Blend in syrup and milk.

4Shape in roll 2-inches in diameter; chill.

5Slice 1/8 to 1/4-inch thick.

6Place half the slices on ungreased cookie sheet.

7Spread each with 1/2 teaspoon peanut butter.

8Cover with remaining slices.

9Seal edges with fork.

10Bake at 350° for 12 minutes or until browned.
