- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 c. chopped onions
- 3/4 c. chopped green pepper
- 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up
- 1 (16 oz.) can Brooks hot chili beans
- 1 to 2 tsp. chili powder to taste
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 bay leaf
- macaroni (if wanted)
Directions

1In a skillet, brown the ground beef, onions and green pepper until vegetables are tender; drain off fat.

2Stir in tomatoes, beans, salt, chili powder and bay leaf.

3Cover and simmer for 1 hour.

4Remove the bay leaf.

5Serve piping hot.
