  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 c. chopped onions
  • 3/4 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up
  • 1 (16 oz.) can Brooks hot chili beans
  • 1 to 2 tsp. chili powder to taste
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 bay leaf
  • macaroni (if wanted)

Directions

    In a skillet, brown the ground beef, onions and green pepper until vegetables are tender; drain off fat.

    Stir in tomatoes, beans, salt, chili powder and bay leaf.

    Cover and simmer for 1 hour.

    Remove the bay leaf.

    Serve piping hot.
