Dr. Pepper Pulled Pork

Ingredients
- 1 kg pork butt or shoulder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce (your favourite)
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 can of Dr. Pepper (300ml dr. pepper)
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 3/4 tsp garlic powder
Directions

1Set the oven to gas mark 3.

2Place onion in bottom of the casserole dish.

3Rub the outside of the pork with the salt, brown sugar, black pepper and garlic powder.

4Depending on your preference add more or less of each ingredient.

5Place the pork in the casserole dish.

6Pour the can of Dr. Pepper onto the pork.

7Seal with lid and cook for 7-8 hours.

8The meat should be very tender when removed from the dish.

9Place in a large shallow bowl.

10Using two forks shred the pork.

11Add the pork back into the dish.

12Stir the bbq sauce and honey together.

13Add the bbq sauce, and let the pork cook for an another 60 minutes or so.

14Add more bbq sauce over your meat if desired.

15Let it rest for 10-15 minute and serve.
