Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. confectioners sugar
  • 1 c. cake flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/4 c. brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 c. chopped walnuts
  • 1 c. shredded coconut

Directions

    Thoroughly blend butter, sugar and cake flour; spread in lightly greased 8-inch pan.

    Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.

    Beat eggs and brown sugar until thick; add sifted dry ingredients.

    Add nuts and coconut; spread over first mixture.

    Continue baking 30 minutes.

    Cut in squares and cool in pan.

    Makes 2 dozen squares.
