Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • 3 Tbsp. shortening
  • 3/4 c. milk

Directions

    Sift flour, salt and baking powder together.

    Rub in shortening with knife or fingertips.
  3. 3
    Add milk to soft dough. Then drop a tablespoon at a time on chicken or meat stews the last 15 to 20 minutes.

    Pan must be covered closely and must not be removed during cooking.
