  • 1 can cherry pie filling
  • 1 box yellow cake mix (2 layer size)
  • 1/2 to 3/4 c. crushed nuts
  • 2 sticks oleo or butter, sliced into pats
  • Cool Whip

    Lightly grease a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.

    Layer the first 4 ingredients in the pan in the order listed.

    Slice the oleo or butter into pats; place evenly over nuts.

    Bake at 350° for 1 hour.

    Cool or serve warm.

    Add a dab of Cool Whip on top.
